Failing Forward . . .

In 2012 I really became tired of being FAT!

I was slender during my childhood (fat cheeks for a while - but not fat ALL OVER) and thin and athletic during my youth and adolescence. BUT . . . by age 50 I weighed over 300 pounds.

During 2012 and 2013 I began to observe and follow the Atkins Diet (Dr. Robert Atkins - The Atkins Diet Revolution). Strictly a low Carbohydrate diet.

I lost 70 pounds in about 8 months.

However (and those who know me know the however) I gained the weight back when I relaxed my dietary rigors and returned to normal eating (and again . . . normal over-eating).

I have continued my research . . . and I am losing weight again . . . using a new and simpler strategy:

Fasting.

I'll be chronicling my weight loss here on the blog and writing what I'm finding to be workable for me. If it helps you that's great. This path is not for everyone, but more and more obese people (like ME) are finding success in this kind of strategy.
